Christine left two days ago on Marsan, a 47' Beneteau (I think it's 47'), with our friends Tom and Angie on a delivery to the US east coast. They expect about a two week trip to the Hudson, and then the mast comes down and they motor another 300 miles or so to Lake Champlain, their final destination. From there, Christine said she will spend time hanging out and partying in the area for awhile, and then go back to California till the end of the year or so.
Seeing her off was the usual Christine affair.
A few friends were there on Marsan to help out with things on the boat, and
say our goodbyes. Christine eventually arrived that afternoon
but in serious need of a very last-minute bottom cleaning on her dinghy
before storing it away for the rest of the year. She seemed to have
had a large portion of the existing marine life in the lagoon on her dinghy
.
Lucky for her, we all jumped in to help her
and got the job done
.
And without even saying, "goodbye", she left. And that is officially
